What is Skipping?
Skipping, also known as Rope Skipping or Jump Rope is a unique sport that involves training and performing in individual and team events.
Jazzy Jumpers athletes can train just for fun and fitness or to compete at interstate, national and even international competitions.
There are two main categories of skipping – Speed and Freestyle.
- Speed skipping focuses on endurance and technique, where skippers skip as fast as they can in specified time frames, such as 30 seconds, 1 minute and 3 minutes.
- Freestyle skipping involves a broader range of skills and tricks, which are incorporated into creative routines performed to music. This category allows skippers to showcase their artistic expression and creativity while still demonstrating their skipping skills.
